On May 5th, 2007, Emmanuel’s Parish Hall was so badly damaged by fire that it had to be completely demolished. As a result we were forced to temporarily put on hold our Seniors’ program and discontinue providing space for the Narcotics Anonymous group.

Presently preparations are being made to rebuild the Parish Hall. As soon as we receive approval from the Department of Buildings, we hope to begin construction. When the building is completed we will resume services to the people in our community.

From the Bronx, Queens and Long Island: Take the Belt Pkwy West to Exit 9 Shore Pkwy. Travel on Shore Pkwy to East 23rd Street. Make a right turn on East 23rd St. Travel on East 23rd Streer for about ¾ a mile. The Church is on the right side of the street.
From Manhattan: Take the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel or the BQE onto the Gowanus Pkwy to the Belt Pkwy East. Travel on the Belt Pkwy to the Knapp Street Exit. Turn left at the traffic light onto Shore Pkwy. Travel on Shore Pkwy to East 23rd Street. Travel on East 23rd Street for about ¾ a mile. The Church is on the right side of the street.

Bus Routes:     #36 bus to Ave Z and E 23rd St
                          #49 bus to Ocean Ave and Ave Z

Subway: B and Q train to Sheepshead Bay Station. Leave station by Sheepshead Bay Exit.. Turn right and walk six blocks to East 23rd Street. Turn right on East 23rd Street. The church is in the middle of the block.
